2018 Nissan Sentra Engine Options and Available Transmissions

The base engine for the 2018 Sentra is a 1.8-liter fighter that punches out 130 horsepower and 128 pound-feet of torque as instructed by its six-speed manual transmission (6MT). For those who aren’t mated to manual transmissions, there is also an available Xtronic transmission for the S trim. Moving up to the SV, SR, and SL trims, the 1.8-liter engine drops the 6MT and becomes exclusively paired with the Xtronic transmission. At the top of the line, the SR Turbo and NISMO trims bring back the 6MT as standard and put the Xtronic back to its original placement as an alternative option. In addition, the SR Turbo and NISMO trims also introduce a standard 1.6-liter turbocharged engine that exhales 188 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque. Needless to say, there are plenty of ways to build a 2018 Sentra.
